Serinsim Park is located in Kota Marudu, Sabah .. this place is to travel to the layman.Serinsim Park was upgraded to Kinabalu Park as close to Mount Kinabalu.

Serinsim is about 90 minutes from the town of Kota Marudu and Kota Kinabalu go to Kota Marudu is about 120 minit.In serinsim Park has ball fields, campsites, toilets.campground lit at night.

There are 30km worth of trails to explore with waterfalls or two along the way. And if you're fit, you can walk to the summit of Mount Nambuyukon, about 5 hours from the substation. You can see the mountains in the picture.

Si Gunting was born in Serinsim in 1859. He was a local warrior of the Kadazandusun ethnic and at the age of 35, started an uprising against the British. His first blood was the falling of the constabulary outpost in Serinsim. When he and his followers left his first battle scene, they left behind 7 dead constables and a clerk. The ensuing conflict or Si-Gunting War, as declared by the British lasted for 7 years, starting from 1894 till 1901. It ended in a ceasefire.

Si Gunting died at the age of 47 in 1905.For a little history, you could visit his tomb, about 45 minutes of jungle trail walk from the substation.
